'The room was very clean and had great amenities. The staff were incredibly friendly. The space is beautiful and charming. Bartender and Restaurant staff were exceptional and the food was amazing. My only piece of feedback would be to add some lounge chairs near the pool. But next time I come back to St Thomas there is no doubt I’m staying at Hotel 1829! '

'I’ve stayed here many times already it’s always my to go whenever visiting st Thomas. Only thing I would recommend is faster service at the restaurant the food is great just takes forever to get any request from server. I also would love if they updated the hotel itself so much more potential if rooms were remodeled '

'Room was ok clean! Lobby smelled, amenities were horrible'

'Do NOT plan to arrive early to this hotel or be treated kindly. We arrived around 3:00 pm knowing that check in is at 4 pm, but most hotels can accommodate an early check in if the rooms are ready. We explained that we would like to check in so we could freshen up prior to our 4:30 pm cab pickup and dinner reservation at 5 pm. The front desk person didn’t even look at her computer and told us check in is at 4. When 4:00 arrived so did the line of people. We had to change our reservation and...
