'The staff were very friendly, and made us feel at home! The room was cozy and the view was beautiful, though the road outside was rather noisy, but it dies down after dark. I was hooked on the Cotswold Stout while we were there, and the town absolutely won our hearts! Highly recommended The Bear if you're around Marlborough!'

'Room was good, bed comfy, shower worked well. It’s in the middle of town so there is some noise, especially on a Saturday night, but to be expected. Checking in was easy although it would have been helpful to have two room keys. The woman on the desk did not seem entirely in the same world as everyone else. 'From the very first moment to the very last, everything felt genuinely wonderful. We’re surrounded by Michelin starred spots at home, yet The Grosvenor’s food doesn’t just keep up…. it outshines so many of the places on our doorstep. Dinner was beautiful, breakfast was a delight, and the coffee was pure happiness in a cup. Every member of staff was warm and lovely, the bed felt like sinking into a hug, and all the little touches were so thoughtfully and beautifully done. My only complaint was...

'Staff were very friendly and helpful. The property was a little tired. A big car park for about 14 cars was a big plus. The road system is a little complicated and busy, so advanced planning how to access the car park is recommended. The full English Breakfast was provided bang on time and was adequate. I would suggest that they introduce cornflakes, marmalade and any fresh fruit or yoghurts. We also had to ask for second cups of coffee/tea.'
