Cottages in Western Lake District

'We had a wonderful stay in this cosy, quiet cottage with plenty of space and everything you needed. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen well stocked but, you will need to bring any essentials salt and pepper, oil, etc. very nice pet welcome pack and packs of welcome with tea and cleaning items. There is a village shop nearby and several pub restaurants. There are a number of great walks on your doorstep from easy to more challenging without needing drive.. A beautiful area to explore so...

'A really lovely little apartment, perfect for me, my husband and dog. Well equipt, lovely comfortable sofa and bed. Perfectly positioned for all the shops, bars and restaurants in Keswick and the car parking space was a bonus (albeit tight!) We will Definitely come back again :)'

'Really enjoyed our stay at Gretaside. The location is excellent. The apartment is small (as expected) but very comfortable. Parking was straightforward. Would definitely stay here for a few days again.'

'A very comfortable apartment with spacious accommodation and well equipped kitchen plus extras such laundry facilities. The lounge and dining area is good. The bedroom is large with very comfortable bed and everything needed. The bathroom is beautifully done with large walk in shower. The only observation I would make for the benefit of others is that the two sets of stairs might be tricky for some. Booking was easy and customer service excellent with friendly and helpful staff.'

'The view of the mountains is stunning. The house is comfortable with plenty of space. It is well equipped with a delightful garden. Portinscale is a lovely setting with a very nice cafe and pub.'

'Had a lovely week staying at Fell View. The cottage is so lovely really well decorated and very clean and comfy. An added bonus was the welcome doggie pack - our dog loved it !!! The pub next door was nice to have, we had a couple of meals there., and it’s only a short walk into Keswick ( about 25mins ). We would definitely stay here again'

'We have recently returned from a 4 night break at Tawny cottage. Already knowing the Keswick area well we knew Portinscale would suit us well - outside the bustle of Keswick but within easy walking distance down a nice path, and easy access to local country walks. The cottage was immaculate in both cleanliness and decor - and well equipped - with off street parking. Our adult daughter had the 2nd bedroom with 2 single beds ( would have been a perk if was 2 singles which could be set up as a King...
