'The guesthouse and the host, Brian, were great. Due to a booking error, I was able to book the accommodation even though they were closed. Brian still gave us a warm welcome and upgraded our room free of charge. He gave us tips for a good restaurant and even made a reservation for us! The breakfast was delicious and lovingly prepared. We would definitely recommend this hostel; it was simply fantastic!'

'Well-appointed cottage that was once a stable block. Very nicely renovated with all the essentials that you need in a vacation home. Welcome pack (including a small bottle of milk!). Comfortable bed. Wood burning stove plus electric heaters. Set on its own behind the main house, it is visited by sheep grazing on common land and deer coming down to visit. Beautiful part of the country and well recommended for those wanting tranquility and calm (no tv!). '

'I would highly recommend this property. We stayed there for two nights. There were multiple restaurants and shops within easy walking distance. Although we had a car, we rarely used it. We did take the car on the ferry to Stornaway Which is also well worth the trip. The owners of this property bent over backwards to make it convenient and charming. My only complaint, and this is Minor is that there were no Kleenexes in the room. However, there were ample outlets for charging our devices and...

"The hotel has a good location and decent rooms, but our stay was marred by several issues. Our shower was broken upon arrival, leaving us unable to shower for a full day. We had to build makeshift water barriers with towels to prevent flooding. Service at the front desk was poor. Our room wasn’t cleaned during our stay, and when we asked about it, staff falsely claimed we had declined housekeeping, which we hadn’t. The elevator smelled strongly of vomit throughout our visit and was never addressed. After the shower was finally repaired, no one informed us or followed up, and there was no apology for the inconvenience. The breakfast area often felt unclean — tables were sticky, and between 8:00 and 9:00 it got overcrowded quickly, with food items running out fast."
