'The Refuge Inn staff made me feel right at home. Easy check in, regardless we were early and we had a room in the first floor which was wonderful since we had access to the mini forest/patio area perfect for my two kids, 2 and 7. The yard also had access to the pool which was beautiful covered in plants and half outdoor/indoor. the hot tub did have a little too much chemical but it was clean. For every day we stayed breakfast was included. I would def stay here again. '

'We enjoyed our night’s stay at this property and felt safe. However, the door to room 312 was not tightened properly. We used the upper latch to help secure it even more. Hot breakfast was decent, typical continental style…eggs, sausage, waffles, bread to toast, packets of hot cereal, cold cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. No complaints. The attendant was kind and friendly. Overall, we would return to the property. It’s accessible to nearby restaurants, shops, and the Newport News/Williamsburg...

'This was out second stay at Smithfield Inn. It is a beautiful inn. The staff was very nice & hospitable. The first time we stayed we ate breakfast in the inn dining room which was much better than the bakery/cafe where your abreast now.'
