'A second visit after many years to this lovely hotel. The staff could not be more welcoming or helpful. Everything is meticulously clean. It’s a quiet corner of Santa Marinella overlooking the castle’s private park and the full breadth of the sea from our room on the second floor (no lift but it’s manageable). 'The room was spacious and clean. Need to be able to handle stairs up to the room and up to the bedroom (spiral staricase) with bathroom on the main floor. Had to wash our own dishes with another guest, which questions the sanitary condition of the silverware. A dishwasher would be helpful.'

'The bedroom itself was pretty clean. There was a pile of dirt at the foot of the bed that has not been picked up. The bed was comfortable, however, there was a large amount of black mold in the shower, and only in the shower. That did not make us feel great, but it was a quick shower in the morning.
