I was born and lived in the "Hamptons" as a boy and a teenager. I returned to show my family where I grew up. I last visited the area 35 years ago in this rare and beautiful place on the South Fork of Long Island. A flood of boyhood memories were augmented and complemented by the Hampton's Vacation Inn. ' This was my husband and my first time visiting Shelter Island and I feel lucky that my stay was at the House of ChaseCreek. Bill was excellent in helping us navigate our stay on the Island which made for an enjoyable experience. The house was charming , very clean , and had easy access to the town restaurant s, and Ferry. 'Cute room and short walk to town. Only thing is my sitting area had a urine smell that wasn’t desirable. I opened the windows and found out quickly they don’t shut completely so that was a little scary since I was traveling alone '

'Our stay at The Inn at Old Harbor was wonderful. My partner doesn’t love walking and They have their own stair case from the ferry parking lot. Within minutes we had picked up our keys at their sweatshirt store and had our feet up on our private balcony which made for great people watching and a cool breeze. Room 3 on the second floor had a king size bed and great light at sunrise. We could see the Newport Bridge! It was clean and comfortable We are coming back for Columbus Day weekend'
