Woonboten in Shikoku

'It was a steep hill to climb with luggage. Taxi's were not available even though the website said you can take a taxi. The Hotel has many levels and no elevator. Given that we were fit we managed to drag our suitcases up the hill. Not very accessible for people with disabilities. We enjoyed our stay the room was minimally appointed. The aesthetics were simple & clean.'

'Amazing artistic surroundings, the public spaces are decorated beautifully, it was lovely to spend time enjoying them. The massage was superb too as well as the daily Japanese breakfasts. We stayed 6 nights and it was so nice to come back to the hotel every night to relax after being out on the islands to see the art.'

'A highly recommended and unique stay! The room was very clean, and the host was incredibly warm and welcoming. They kindly recommended local restaurants on the island and even helped us make reservations. The location was also very convenient, right along the Shimanami Kaido cycling route.'
