'I found the breakfast to be very satisfying with ample options for everyone. The room was in great condition considering the age of the original structure. The only thing that didn’t rate outstanding to me was the comfort of the sheets, they were rougher than I prefer. This is a GREAT property, staff was very welcoming and I highly recommend it for anyone traveling to Chania, select a room with a balcony…that was the perfect beginning of every day.'

'Pool was very cold, not nice and a bit dirty. No views (in city, street view with balcony on street). The wide angle views of the hotel's pictures give an inappropriate view. The setup for me was more like 3 stars. Nevertheless, the stay was fair. The area with beaches is great. But next time, I will not stay here but book a bed & breakfast with better views'

'Everything was incredible from the moment we arrived. Early check in was available, the team arranged parking for our car. Had dinner both nights at the restaurant and can’t fault the food, my chef partner loved everything on the menu. Staff were so attentive and lovely. Good location if you’re looking for somewhere slightly out of town, a little quieter. Only a 20ish minute walk into old town. '

'Alcanea Boutique Hotel is an absolute gem in Chania! Eva was exceptional, checking in on us when our flight was delayed, providing us with detailed recommendations of restaurants and beaches then following up with us on our return. The location was incredible and the interior and exterior of the 500 year old building provided for such a unique experience. 'I stayed at this hotel for 4 days and had a fantastic experience. The service was excellent—staff were friendly, helpful, and always attentive. The hotel and room were spotless, very clean and comfortable. The facilities were great, and the spa service was also very good. I especially appreciated the multiple swimming pools with plenty of space to relax and enjoy. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again.'

'Breathe taking view in this out of the way resort. The rooms are very nice, we had a sea view making it spectacular. There is a main pool or a quiet section on the cliff side. The buffet for breakfast and or dinner was delicious. It is semi remote so a car rental or taxi service is needed. '

'Mooi hotel in het oude centrum van Chania. Wel lastig met de auto bereikbaar maar voldoende parkeergelegenheid in de omgeving. Ontvangst was hartelijk en de kamer prima in orde. '

'Prima hotel met zeer goede service, echter te weinig bedden voor de gasten o 07.30 zijn alle bedden al bezet. Overal staan borden dat het niet is toegestaan echter word hier niets mee gedaan. Ik zeg aanpassen als jullie willen dat gasten terugkeren.'
