'The Wilder House Berkshires is a lovely inn with helpful, friendly staff and delicious food! My well-appointed room (#1) was spacious, the bedding was luxurious and the king-sized bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was large with a roomy shower. All amenities in the room seemed to be recently re-done. Laura, the inn-keeper, was especially friendly and chatty! Her breakfasts were wonderful with a choice of options. 'A lot of deferred maintenance here -- from the stairs to the upper floor desperately needing paint to broken electrical outlet covers. Clean but generally grubby. A four drawer dresser, top drawer missing, that no overnight guest will use, but no rod or hooks to hang anything. Shower barely warm enough to use -- certainly not a good hot shower. No good space to put anything down in the bathroom -- stylish vanity, but stupid. Bright light between the beds -- impossible to use if one wants to...

'All the staff members I met were cheerful & helpful. I asked for a ground floor room, upon arrival, got a very nice one at no extra charge. I was in the area for a music festival, plan on booking a stay again , next year.'

'This is a very basic motel that provided us a reasonable place to spend the night. The bed was comfortable. The room had a tv, microwave and small refrigerator that all worked well. The light fixture knobs did not work and some outlets did not work. AC worked well enough. Quirky room layout but was fine for one night.'
