'We stayed in a family room. It was very spacious, clean and comfy. The Inn is not far from Kendal cbd (less than 10 min drive). The hotel does do dinner, it is a little pricey tho. The included breakfast was quite good (cereals and full english breakie style included in our stay). '

'Room was nothing like posted in pictures on web site was absolutely disgusting Whole place smelt of people smoking canabis even though there was no smoking policy . Car park was full of dog faecea. Glad my car was still there as parking was horrendous. Wouldnt recommend at all. Bedding was all stained covered in dog faeces'

I love a buffet breakfast but it was described on expedia as a "free breakfast" not "breakfast included" the difference was a extremely limited one table continental breakfast and a menue order for a cooked breakfast. 'The Daffodil Hotel is a really decent hotel, we came for our little honeymoon. Room was very clean, reception staff very welcoming and the beds are comfortable. We loved the view from our window of the lake and hills. Gorgeous location! Only issues was we had no fridge in our room, not having somewhere cold to store our 'bottled gifts' we brought from our wedding was disappointing. 'Niet te doen. Wat een oude zooi. Wel een ruime kamer en goed bed maar eigenlijk alles verder is slecht. Heel warm, bedompt en niet fris. En vooral heel heel heel veel lawaai vanaf de straat. Niet boeken tenzij je zelf graag tot laat op stap gaat. Wij dachten lekker in het centrum op loopafstand van de stad, maar dat viel dus tegen. Hadden beter naar de recensies moeten kijken. Ontbijt was ook niet best, weinig keuze en vieze warme ‘kantine’. Snel vergeten, is het geld niet waard. Receptioniste...

'Really lovely stay at The Belsfield. Clean, smart, spacious and beautiful. It has been renovated recently and the decor has a classy and stylish manor feel, lovely lounges, view of the lake for breakfast, comfortable room, friendly staff, delicious breakfast made to order plus great muffins! Very relaxing a perfectly situated for getting boats. We will be back! Only downside was a sneaky £15 parking a day if you book through a third party. No real reason given for this. 'The indoor spa was great. Staff were awesome as well - really professional. Can imagine it's great when the outdoor spa is open and during the summer. Some of the negatives...breakfast could do with some improvements, the ingredients tasted low quality some of the cooking was questionable (fried eggs for example). The place had a general feel of getting refurbished so felt hard done by paying full price... Our room (28) smelt like drains and the view was blocked by scaffolding. Also some mold...
