Shrek’s Hideout is our wonderful, private vacation home that has given years of memories to our family and is located in the gated community of Sunset Lakes. You will not find anything closer to the Parks than this! We are private homeowners and not part of a corporate or investment group. We are opening our home up to you and your family to enjoy while in Orlando! Our home is locally managed by a great team of professionals that ensures our home is ready for your stay!

Our home is an air-conditioned, spacious, family-friendly 4 bedroom luxury home with 3 full bathrooms and offers all of the modern amenities and much more to include baby equipment! With its own private pool, come with family and stay away from crowded and cramped hotels. Shrek's Hideout allows you to spread out and relax! Staying in our home will not disappoint you!

We loved our stay @ Shreiks Hideout. Our stay was from Mar 2 - Mar 8 2025. The house was as described. Christina the host was very quick to respond to our question. The weather was great for lounging by the pool and soaking up some vitamin D. Definitely an A stay. By the way we stayed hete to attend Alan Jackson concert in Orlando. We were up front @ the stage. Unforgetable vacation.

Air vents and exhast fans needing cleaning. Trash pickup wasn't on scheduled day because of the holiday and wasn't told when it would be pickup. Also trash can outside half full when we got there. The good is pool, gated community, kitchen nice and big.

Retirement Getaway

We stayed about 5 weeks in this home. Great neighbors on one side, and great visitors on the other. A few noisy Fridays in the neighborhood, but overall quite. We had a few issues with the pool, but great fast service from property management. We enjoyed our stay, and the weather was beautiful. Thanks for a great first retirement vacation

Very spacious, close to Disney!

We were sad to leave our extended stay at this spacious property! The Sunset Lakes neighborhood is dog-friendly with quiet, tree-lined sidewalks and is very close to Disney (15-20 minutes to parks). The property management team was by far the most responsive we have ever encountered. Any calls or texts were responded to immediately and issues were resolved as quickly as possible. They went above and beyond to minimize any inconvenience the few times issues arose. The house seems to be in the process of renovations with some great changes already done. The shower in the master bath was recently retiled and looks beautiful with modern, high-quality materials. The tub/shower combo in the middle bathroom appears to have been newly tiled, too. Tile floors in the main living areas of the home are nice, but I recommend replacing the bedroom carpets with solid-surface floors. The pool deck and furniture appeared to have been power washed and looked clean and fresh upon arrival. The cement needs some minor repairs and rubber along the bottom of the lanai doors would help keep soil and debris out of the pool area when it rains, but it was perfect for our kids (8 & 10) to enjoy almost daily. The kitchen was well-stocked with dinnerware & new appliances (fridge/range/microwave/dishwasher) as well as nice extras like a pressure cooker! Plenty of towels/linens throughout and new linens in the master. Thanks for a great stay. We'd definitely return to this property!

The only problems we had were that we didn’t have a code to get in the front gate and the code we were given to get in the house was wrong. After these two problems were fixed our stay was very nice. The house is lovely and the neighborhood is very good.

All was good. Easy and timely communication with owner and management company. Place is great for a large group. Overall, very nice. Just a bit worn. Needs some sprucing up, but with that said, the communication side of things is the best we've ever experienced in all the years we've used VRBO.
