We have been double-charged for the apartment. We have made contact to get the double charge corrected but have not heard back from anyone. Small bathroom shower leaked when in use. Disappointed there was only a coffee pot with no coffee, filters, espresso machine, pods, etc. only one small towel for kitchen use. Trash can in kitchen was broken (lid was off).

Moldy & Stinky Bathrooms—EWWW

JOIVY management fully disappointed us during our stay in Lisbon. After I made them aware of the mold and mildew growing in the bathrooms and the stench, they did not believe me. And insisted that I provide photos—which I did. They never addressed the problem and stopped all communication. The poor quality of the shower creates standing water, leaking through the floor, and molding the vanity. Additional issues included insufficient kitchen supplies—paper towels, napkins, trash bags, wine glasses, dish washer liquid. I recommend avoiding the JOIVY brand across Europe—poor communication and more focused on their profits.

Great property location

The apartment location is in the heart of Lisbon, close to the tram 28 stop and the castle stairlift. We found the property spacious and well equipped. It keeps my faith in apartments rather than hotel rooms.

Great location but the apartment is very tired and needs a paint showers flood and linens inadequate

I would not rent here again. It’s a shame the layout of the apartment is very nice. We stayed for five days there were four of us we received four bath towels and four hand towels and one tea towel. This simply was inadequate. Towels didn’t dry between usage and the dishes we put away wet because there were no dry Dish towels. We asked for extra towels and were told there would be an extra charge. The drying rack to hang your clothes on was also broken. Lamp shades are stayed and broken.There are no instructions on how to use the induction cooktop or the washing machine which would’ve been very helpful.The whole place needs a new paint job and the showers are leaking and require maintenance. The link to get in the front door is problematic if each person in your party does not have a cell phone which we did not only two out of the four of us had took out plans. This means you can’t get into the apartment. So many places we stayed in Portugal provided laundry soap, salt and pepper, hand soap etc. Very disappointed … So many other places we have stayed in Portugal were far better.

The apartment was well located but the shower in our bathroom had hair in it when we got there. A bigger problem was the horrible stench like a sewer coming out of the same bathroom. Opening windows did not help. It smells like methane has is conimg up through the drains in the bathroom. Owner needs to fix that problem. I would not stay at this apartment again with that stench.

great location!!!

perfect location, enough room to chill after walking all day. Comfortable furniture. Check in did not go smooth since we were not given the actual apartment number, but we figured it out after calling the agency. Down thing: the apartment had a smell to it, mostly in the kitchen (some rotten smell, mold/mice?), we had to air it often. bedrooms were fine. Also the small bathroom shower leaked all over the floor when you get out of it: have extra towels on the floor, otherwise you will be stepping in a puddle when walking in the bathroom. Overall great place, would not mind coming back.

Un apartamento para NO poder dormir

El apartamento es muy bonito y esta bien situado, el problema es que los dos dormitorios tienen las ventanas a un patio interior que justo comunica con los aparatos de ventilación del Hotel Madalena que es contiguo. Por tanto el ruido que se produce en las dos habitaciones es constante y por la noche en una de las dos habitaciones es imposible dormir. No entiendo como Altido ,propietario del apartamento no pone una solucion , y alquila una vivienda en estas circunstancias.

City Centre

Lovely clean apartment in a fabulous location in the city centre close to amenities, shops, cafes, restaurants, trams and buses. Some very small issues:- Due to a weak phone signal in the corridors, the phone link to electronic entry system into the flat was hit and miss - ok after the first time as an electronic key was available inside the apartment. Slight smell of damp in the apartment caused by leaking showers. No toilet paper on arrival which could have been an issue if arriving after the shops had closed. Would definitely book again.

Great location!

Overall the location and apartment were great and the bedrooms are spacious with one having twin beds and the master with a double. The apartment has been updated! With nice furnishings! The master bathroom shower door needs to be sealed on the bottom to keep the water from flooding out into the bathroom itself so we had to share the hall bathroom for showers, the 2 lamps in the living room don’t work, more dishes would help but overall great apartment, I’d stay there again! Near Rossio Square and tons of good restaurants and shops steps away. a grocery store was just up the hill! J.
