We had a wonderful stay at Pantai Inn and would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting La Jolla. The location is truly unbeatable — just a short walk to a variety of attractions, restaurants, and shops. Best of all, you're steps away from the ocean with a perfect view of the sunset each evening.
Our room was incredibly spacious, more like a full apartment than a hotel room. With a full kitchen, dining area, and living room, it was perfect for our family of four.
The staff was exceptional. A special shoutout to Baca, who went above and beyond to make us — especially our son — feel right at home. He was kind, funny, and incredibly attentive. He made sure my son got an umbrella straw with his apple juice every morning.
We also appreciated the little extras, like the complimentary breakfast with a variety of options to choose from, and the fridge in the lobby stocked with free waters and sodas.
If we had to point out one downside, it would be that the property could use a few updates. Some elements feel a bit dated, but honestly, the charm, service, and location more than make up for it.
Overall, Pantai Inn was a fantastic choice for our family getaway. We'd gladly stay here again!
