'Such a great place to stay. We had a lot of room, and it's in downtown so we could walk to restaurants and shops. Plus we had a very tasty breakfast! We will plan to use Goldfinch Suites in the future!!'

They are still working on completing the renovations which was good for us because we got to go thru all the rooms & see all the furnishings. 'The one thing I will caution future guests about is breakfast. It’s one menu selection (there is no menu to choose from) for everyone every morning. So if you’re a picky eater or have lots of food sensitivities, this could be a real hassle. It is served in your room only, and delivery runs a bit on island time. 'As I had found that this property was once owned by my 3X great granduncles I was fascinated by the history and walked in their footsteps. As I descended the original, narrow stairs with the low hand rails I imagined the original women in their high button shoes and hoop skirts more gracefully than me maneuvering them daily. It was a pleasant step back in time with it's antique atmosphere and original structure. It was my 48th wedding anniversary and staying at a family home made it even more...
