'We had an okay stay. Staff were very nice and helpful. However, the place was run down and looking worse for wear. Didn’t love that it was an outdoor hotel- it was giving motel vibes but with a hotel price tag. The room was clean but definitely run down, toilet paper holder was falling off the wall and the tub/shower was looking rough. Stopped by the pool and the water was extremely hot. It was a hot day, so i’m not sure how much the hotel could control but regardless the pool was not...

'We found this place completely by accident on a cross country road trip, scrolling through Expedia looking for somewhere to spend one night. But this place is a treasure! The location is perfect. Right on the Chesapeake Bay, it has its own private beach, a sprawling lawn dotted with Adirondack chairs, and some of the most peaceful views I’ve ever experienced. The bay was serene. 'The location of the property was ideal for shopping and restaurants (about 5 minutes to several shopping centers and the mall). It is also not far from Sandy point (about 15 minutes) or Kent Island attractions (about 25 minutes). There is nothing to complain about with the staff who were nice enough. The room and hotel are fine but, to me, were not quite up to the expected standard of a DoubleTree. We didn't use it but there is a convenient shuttle that probably we could have taken advantage of.'
