« The ground-floor cottage is part of a four-unit complex. There are three complexes and they are adjacent to a 9-story condominium building. The sandy beach is right in front of the cottage and if you are lucky, you may see green turtles resting in the morning by the shore. The unit is very well furnished (beach towels, snorkeling equipment, beach chairs, surf boards, kitchen). There is no a/c but there are plenty of fans so we felt comfortable. « The host, the place, the beach, the breezes caressing us and the ocean waves lulling us to sleep were far beyond what we could have imagined. Jackie went above and beyond preparing a well-stocked pantry, sparkling clean home and stunning touches of her eye for beauty throughout the entire condo. We couldn't imagine anything better: the long, safe, and beautiful beach, the turtles, the peace, the quiet, the lovely pool ...so much. Thank you for a beautiful 2 days. »

« Perfect for me and my adult daughter and a friend. Close to the beautiful Kailua beach and some shops and restaurants. Clean and nice accommodations. The spiral staircase was fine for me- I left my suitcase on the lower level. Easy to find- great instructions. Lovely pool area. Would definitely recommend or come again if I return to this area. »

« Awesome location and house but seems a little neglected. It coukd be the perfect place but for poor building management. Simple but important repairs needed. Fan remote missing, lights didnt work in main living space, windows didnt open, broken beach chair, broken trifold door, confusing laundry room situation (combo given but door has a key lock). »

« This is a pretty new house that is located up in Mākaha Valley. It has a beautiful view of the mountains above the valley. It is only a short drive down to the local surfing beach as well as other local beaches. Our party of six was very comfortable here. »

« We had a wonderful stay. Property was as pictured. The biggest challenges we found is that the area you need to drive through to get to the property is very run down. The property is about a 30 min drive from any safe amenity such as a grocery, gas station etc. If you want to just stay in one place your whole trip this is the place. But if you want to explore around it is not. I would have liked the property to have also listed that there were things like - washer and dryer, hair dryer, general...

« I am conflicted about this place. On the one hand: great house. Beautiful. Clean. Full with amenities and very practical. On the other hand: the location is weird. The gated community is great. But outside after two mini you reach the coast and it’s full with homeless in tents. And driving towards HNL it’s at least 30min of this. So from the house there are no close by nice beaches or restaurants. Some fastfood close by in front homeless are sleeping. I don’t understand why you build such an...
