'We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Amsterdam. The location is excellent, close to restaurants, grocery stores, canals, shopping, and we felt very safe. The rental is clean, well-appointed, modern and very comfortable. The only downside is the stairs if one has a mobility issue.'

Beware the very steep, long stairs (typical of Amsterdam) – Wessel's son was kind enough to help us get our luggage up them. Host was super friendly and accommodating, great communication and suggestions. Convenient, safe location with easy access to trams, and lots of places for food and shopping nearby. Definitely recommend!'

'We really enjoyed our stay. It was close enough to everything that it was convenient. Had great shops, food, and a grocery store near. Close to the canal. It was far enough away from all of the really crazy tourist locations that it was calm. Nice to be able to sit on the deck and enjoy the calm and quiet of the back garden area. If you want to be in the middle of a touristy area, this isn’t for you. If you want some quiet and you want to feel private and calm- book now! A quick 10 minute walk...

'Mario was great! So friendly and accommodating! The 2 bathroom description was a misleading. Only one toilet and one shower. I think it could be improved by allowing some light into the apartment and ability to open windows, felt a little like a cave. Great location, everyone within walking distance. '

'We were traveling as a family with two of our young adult children. We love staying in properties that offer local character, and this property delivers. Located across from a canal, it has extensive views of all the comings and goings on the canal. Beautiful! Please heed the owner's warning about the steep stairs. If you have mobility challenges in any way, this property is not for you. Having said that, my husband has a bum knee, and he was able to manage. Interior stairway offers child safety...

'Great apartment in a fun location. We really enjoyed being right in/on the edge of the hustle and bustle. And the location on the canal we were on was excellent. The tree-lined canal, the local restaurants and pubs, the early evening golden hour…all were great. Two things to note: the noise in the alley will definitely impact your sleep late into the night. But it is super quiet until 9 or 10 am so plenty of time to sleep in. Also, the small bed in the very small room with the limited...

'Having never stayed in a houseboat, this was an experience we couldn't miss. The space was efficient and well equiped. It was a thrill to ride the ferry every day and the houseboat was only a short walk from the ferry stop. Highly recommend!'
