'Very clean, long staircase, good, helpful staff. No water in kitchen area was awkward.'

'Location, location! This hotel had an amazing location. Right on the beach. Minutes from the redwoods. Nice back porch area with chairs to sit and watch the water. Expedia said we were supposed to have a food voucher and the staff didn't know anything about that. There were a few complimentary snacks and drinks which was nice. Room was clean and decor refreshed but it is an old motel. Slider didn't slide well. Front door didn't close well. Water was wonky. Walls were thin.'

'This was a wonderful “cottage“ feel cabin. Beautifully appointed, well equipped with air-conditioning, heating, television, and a coffee maker. Quiet little neighborhood where perhaps the most rewarding experience was getting to know the alpacas in the backyard. We can’t wait to return.'

'Can't recommend this place enough! It's located in a great neighborhood that felt safe and comfortable anytime of day/night. Lovely views of arcata from the yard and a short walk up the road to the community forest. We've stayed here multiple times and will continue to use Baxters for future visits. '
