The house was very suitable & comfortable for our gathering of nine people; bedrooms, lounge and kitchen very roomy plus large 4 car garage . Price & location were excellent. 'The house is very comfortable and easy to stay at with lots of thoughtful touches. It was lovely and clean and a great kitchen. We did not have kids but noticed the cot, high chair, and kids books/activities. The supermarket and post office are very close and convenient. National Park is nearby but we did not go as busy with family. On previous visits to Athelstone we have enjoyed hiking in the park and saw koalas.'

'The hotel is in Hindley street which does distract from the lovely feel of the interior of the hotel. A few homeless sleeping rough very close by. Police station right next door and it gets loud at nighttime with the nightlife. Perfect location for our trip to the footy and lovely staff. Good 4 star rooms and the zrt deco big entrance is very nice. Makes you forget the street front. A good value city hotel.'

'Very friendly and helpful staff. I stayed in 2 different rooms - one was a bit tired and had a safety lock broken (so I requested a room change) the other one more modern. Staff was very helpful in accomodating the room change. Unfortunately there was quite a bit of noise from outside (hotel is an an area with a lot of nightlife around). Breakfast food was adequate. Fresh fruits, cereal, yoghurt and good hot buffet but limited pastry selection. Ambiance of bar and breakfast area lackluster.'

'I am unable to understand how Expedia provided a rating of "very good" for this hotel inspite of my experiences from 10 /5/2026 to 17/5/2026. My room was 1208. 1. Carpets outside the room - as soon as you come out of the lift the sight of the dirty carpets attracted my attention. 2. Carpets inside the room were just as bad leaving me to wonder when the carpets were either vacuumed or steam cleaned. 3. The wardrobe has dust on all the shelves. 4. The shower in the bathroom was ancient...

'Very disappointed with the little the hotel does to provide a decent experience for all its patrons - especially with regard to amenities such as the pool, spa and sauna. We were unable to use the spa on 3 seperate occasions as it was occupied by toddlers and their parents. We stayed for over an hour on most occasions, waiting. At one point we tried to get in but were told we couldn’t apply the jets as it wasn’t the preference of a small child who’d been bobbing up and down in the spa for over...
