Mr. Hawkins has taken this historic slice of old Americana and turned it into the most charming little vacation rental property. 'If you are looking for a spot to stay on the eastern shore side, then this is it. Very clean, spacious, and check in process was easy. Plenty of off street parking. Very quiet area. Less than a 5 minute drive to kiptopeke state park, and a close drive to cape charles harbor as well. Great location. Highly recommend this place.'

"This is a reasonable hotel in terms of price/quality ratio. The location is almost at the end of the boardwalk but the Virginia Beach shuttle stops right outside. The staff is very friendly and helpful, there were some things that were not right, when we arrived the indoor pool was not open, both washing machines were out of order (there were 4 brand new dryers in operation) and the sliding door to the balcony in our room we could only open by using a lot of force. We had a balcony with sea view on a high floor and the view was fantastic."
