« Beautiful boarding house on the National Registry. Highly recommend staying here. Delicious breakfast, made to order, daily. Popular restaurant by night. My husband said the trout was the best he has ever had, anywhere. Walk to town or to Tomahawk Lake Town is a popular shopping destination 20 minutes to Biltmore and the Blue Ridge museum and parkway. Also check out the town museum and the huge antique store just off the highway. »

« The staff was exceptional; as was the eco-friendly outdoor atmosphere; my only concern for future visits is I reserved the rhododendron room on Expedia but was given the bike room upon arrival!!! Not sure, nor do I care about the cost but I think the rhododendron room has a queen size bed and the room I stayed in only has a full size bed; not a deal breaker though!!!!! »

« Our stay was amazing. The room was spacious, clean and well equipped. We stayed in the Carolina Cottage which is not in the main house. The bed was very comfortable and it was very quiet for sleeping. The breakfast each day was a 3 course consisting of a blended smoothie to start, followed by a small yogurt parfait or waffle and then the main dish that was a bit more substantial. « At the time of booking a bed-and-breakfast I thought that breakfast would be included and be prepared by cook. But I got breakfast in a bag in refrigerator to take to my room. If I would’ve known prior to booking the bed and breakfast I would’ve not to stay there. »

« We really enjoyed our stay in Tryon. Lavender Hill is nestled in a cozy neighborhood with lots of privacy, just a short walk to town. Loved the eclectic decor and the artwork was an added treat. The only thing I missed was a regular kuerig type coffee maker. We would definitely stay there again. Ro was a gracious host! »
