'Beautiful location and our room was perfect, clean, comfortable and well equipped. The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and professional! The bar and restaurant were first rate! I have already recommended The Black Horse to friends who hoping to visit this wonderful part of the country. ❤️'

'Heerlijk bed, prima kamer. Beetje gedateerd, maar dat maakte het verblijf er niet minder om. Prima (Engels) ontbijt, verser kon niet. Alleen jammer dat de vloer over de hele benedenverdieping plakte…'

'Excellent hotel in Durham. Located right on the river bank close to the city centre. Hotel amenities are modern and staff friendly. Rooms in the loft like the junior suite are excellent in size and good value. Only slight let down was the restaurant which was not quite up to the standard as it seemed a bit understaffed resulting in diminished service but it was still adequate.'

'Nice hotel however longer than normal check in and checkout process as both times I had to find a member of staff to help me.'

'Very friendly staff. Room was clean and quiet'
