« Room 9 Bathroom shower was a disaster. One could not turn off the overhead shower fixed head in order to use just the hand-held shower. »

« The room was decent and the bed comfortable. The issue we had was the bar had closed at 10.25pm and the bar staff wouldn’t serve us despite us having been told that it would be open until 11pm. We weren’t even allowed to add drinks to our bill and have them in our room because the barman said he’s closed all the tills. He said we could go to the local garage if we wanted to buy alcohol - not exactly what you expect when staying in a hotel. »

« My overall assessment on the stay would rate it no more than a three star. There are some minor maintenance issues that need to be looked into. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. Food was very good and the full English was excellent. The idea of filling out what you wanted for breakfast the previous day was not really how I would like it as this might change, I would prefer to decide on the day. Conclusion: The accommodation was a little tired and in need of a spruce up. »

« Lovely stay. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Not mentioning names for privacy, a young man on duty on morning service on 12/13 Sep 2026 needs a special mention. So helpful and took personal interest everything during the stay was ok. Property is well furnished and feels homely. Our room was spacious and well appointed. Food is of a very good quality and reasonably priced, especially the breakfast. The area is well served for restaurants and walking tours by the coast. We really enjoyed...

« Nikki, Sophie and Anya were what made this stay. They were so friendly and so helpful! Nikki really went above and beyond for us, accommodating everything we needed. They were all very kind and patient with my young daughter. The room was exactly what we wanted and as advertised. The food and drink selection was fab too and reasonably priced! Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to stay in the area. »

« We had the cheader room very large and spacious. Staff were helpful especially Mitch went out of his way helping us with drinks up the stairs. Food was excelent in the evening also breakfast. We have stayed here a few times now. »

« Sam, the general manager greeted us warmly on arrival, was very helpful, friendly and professional. Our courtyard room was clean and comfortable with a garden table just outside the door. Plenty of tea and coffee making facilities in the room. Dinner and breakfast were both plentiful and delicious. Highly recommended for a stay in the Mendips with dogs. »
