We enjoyed being on Mason Ave and being able to walk out the door onto the main street of Cape Charles. The property was very clean and had a very big family room and kitchen area.

Anniversary Weekend

It was our 14 year anniversary and our first time away from our kids and we wanted somewhere relaxing yo stay and this was it. We were able to park the car and walk everywhere which was perfect. We would definitely stay again.

We had a great time at the condo. The location was amazing right above the wine shop and so close to the beach. The back porch with water views was shady and the fans kept any bugs away. Spent lots of time out there enjoying morning coffee. The decor was well appointed and the kitchen had everything we needed.

Located on Mason it was in the middle of the main commercial street with lots of shops. We were able to walk to shops, dinning and the beach. Nice balcony and rooftop deck with views of the Chesapeake Bay and harbor.

Our weekend retreat in your beautiful apartment made discovering the idyllic hamlet of Cape Charles feel like we were coming back home, despite the fact that it was our maiden voyage to peaceful harbor.

Cute place. Clean. Queen bed was good. Other bed not comfortable. Carpet in spare needs to be replaced. Cleaned bird poop that was all over back porch. I would stay again if it were just me.

Great Place For Families

Overall it was a great stay. There were ants in the kitchen and the bathroom by the kitchen had a foul smell, but it was all tolerable. The place was very clean, comfortable furniture, great location, water views, great balcony and very spacious.

Beautiful place and perfect location!

This condo is perfectly located right in town near the Cape Charles shops and restaurants and just a super short walk to the beach! The condo itself was beautifully decorated and felt very clean. It was also spacious and perfect for our family of 4 - our kids had a great time!! We would definitely rent this place again next summer!!

Great Cape Charles Condo

This condo is well represented. Easy to access. Clean and well outfitted. The only downside we had was trying to charge a golf cart, but we made it work with the help of CC Ryders.

Our family of four visited Cape Charles for a weekend wedding and loved the central location of "Above it All". An easy walk to the beach and even closer to the shops and restaurants that line Mason Ave. Our arrival was a bit frustrating as we were not given access codes to the main entrance door, nor to the building's shared rooftop (which is the main picture on this property's listing), but I was pleased by how easy it was to connect with the property management company and they quickly resolved our building entry issues. We never could access the rooftop. The condo was bright, spacious, and well-stocked. The cleanliness was not quite what I expected but again, Chesapeake Properties was apologetic and offered to try to get housekeeping out to re-clean. We declined due to having to get ready for the wedding but appreciated the offer. Overall, a nice property despite the few hiccups.

Reviewer Comments: What a beautiful little place in the heart of Cape Charles; unfortunately, I have mobility issues and booked this 3rd floor apartment because it had an elevator and it was clear that this elevator was not working and probably has not been working in quite some time. If you know that the elevator does not work you should remove this from the listing or provide a discount - period.

Short but sweet stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at Above it All for 3 nights in July 2022. Location is fantastic; a short walk to the beach and restaurants and stores. The condo was well equipped and had a great layout, with the 2 bedrooms on separate sides of the flat. Lovely design. We enjoyed our stay very much, and would consider another stay should we visit Cape Charles again. Two concerns: 1) the elevator did not work most of the time we were there, which was a bit of a problem for one of us, who has bad knees and was really counting on the elevator. Obviously, others staying in this building did not know how to use the elevator or couldn't be bothered to follow directions, so did not close the interior door properly which prevented the elevator from working. This was frustrating. I called the rental company one time, and it was fixed, but gave up after it happened again. There needs to be much better signage on ALL elevator doors on each floor reminding people to follow the very simple instructions; 2) both of the shower curtains and bathtubs were covered in pink mold, which made bathing very unpleasant. We understand that the humid environment causes this, but the cleaners should either wash the shower curtain liners in between each guest, or buy new ones. The showers also did not drain, so immediately filled up with pink tinged water while showering. This really detracted from what was otherwise a lovely stay.

It was decorated so cute and had almost everything we needed for our stay. There was no blender on site but I called ahead of time and was advised the condo had this. While there I called and they were very accommodating and bought us by a blender to use for our babies food. The condo also had two children kayaks and my kiddos enjoyed using those! We would definitely come back.

The apartment was surprisingly spacious, clean and absolutely perfect location to the shops, restaurants and beach. No need for a golf cart! The beach wagon that was included with the apartment was a game changer for our family heading to the beach each day. Elevator was extremely helpful in getting all of our luggage up to the third floor. We would stay here again!

The only "complaint" I would have is that the second bathroom has a very odd odor to it. We barely used that restroom though, so it didn't affect us. I only mention it so that the rental company can know. The bathroom itself looked very clean so that didn't seem to be the issue. The location is great. Being able to walk downstairs and be on the main street with all the shops and restaurants was such a fun experience. The town itself is adorable. We enjoyed getting the explore the area! We would 100% rent this unit again!

Chesapeake properties was quick to answer my questions and even fixed a slight problem we had when we arrived. The elevator was broken so loading and unloading for the trip was a true workout but that doesn't reflect on Chesapeake properties. The condo was well stocked, extremely clean, and the porch was pristine. The only drawback was the elevator being broken and their isnt a electrical outlet to plug in a golf cart if you rent one. Overall, I would highly recommend a stay with Chesapeake properties in Cape Charles. We will be back!
