'My daughter and I stayed here for a night. Ted, who greeted us, was so welcoming and cheerful. He explained the house to us, gave us recomendations for dinner and for sight seeing. The outdoor onsen was amazing!! And private! They also offered complimentary coffee and tea in the common area. I will definetly come back if we are in the area again! '

'The property is really beautiful; gorgeous views, stunning room, and the private onsen is incredible. Absolutely no feedback on the room, grounds, staff, property, etc all amazing! It’s nice that dinner and breakfast are included given that you are quite a walk uphill from Gora and other restaurants. The food is presented in a beautiful setting and the service was wonderful. That being said, the food itself left much to be desired and given the price, we expected it to taste better. '

'The futon’s aren’t very thick so it can be a bit uncomfortable if you’re a side sleeper. Other than that our stay was great. The owner, Yudai, is incredible and has an excellent sense of hospitality. When I come to Hakone again this place will be at the top of my list. '

'Communication was wonderful and the property was more than promised. As US residents and first time visitors to Japan, it took a little time to understand the functions of the space. After a couple of hours all became crystal clear. We cooked in all evening meals, the kitchen is very comfortable and stocked abundantly with utensils and bar ware. Good neighborhood shopping within walking distance as well as metro station. We spent 5 days here and ventured out by rail every day.'
