Blokhutten in West End

'Staff was very friendly.'

'We had 3 rooms. All of them were clean. The check in process was easy except for Expedia messing up our reservation from their end to the hotel's end. The property is improving as far as aesthetically and you can tell they are putting in the work. The rooms were clean, had adequate amenities, the a/c worked well and we slept well. We did not get to use the mini golf course because we were too busy doing other things in Galveston. The steps - those things are steep! They also need some work...

'Stores are accessible and the beach is really close by, the only thing I did not like was for some reason people there are so inconsiderate they are to noisy during all hours, especially upstairs or the room next door were we stayed at, we heard tapping noises multiple times, I don’t think I’ll ever stay here again!'

'This was by far one of the WORST hotels I have ever stayed at. We arrived and the lobby smelled like grass (literal grass). We were given our room on the first floor and the room reeked of mildew. We thought it was bc the AC was turned off. We turned the AC on and the smell got worse. The bedding smelled AWFUL. Not only was the bedding smelly but the were almost like wet moist from the immense humidity of the room. The restroom smelled like the shower curtain was left in the washer and...

'Heerlijke grote kamers die nog als nieuw overkomen.'

'This is our 4th stay in the signature series rooms and it hasn’t disappointed us yet. The room is beautiful with all the kitchen appliances for preparing food for family of 6. The private endless pool and bar is spectacular. The kids played in it regularly. Having private access to the beach with shower is perfect. It would be helpful for the staff to verify vehicles using the ground level parking under the building without parking passes.'

'older place good price over all nice nothing over the top'

'Smelled like bug spray. Pillows and blankets had stains. Ac had so much build up'

'The night desk staff/lady was not friendly and when I mentioned I would need to use the cruise parking the next morning and sign up for it she said to do it in the morning. When I went to the desk the next morning I was told I was to sign up last night and missed my shuttle to the cruise port. Luckily the shuttle driver showed up and took us last minute.'
