Herbergen in Torquay

'The location was great for our purposes and the parking was good. Breakfasts were excellent, there was a nice patio and garden out the back. Well-run family B&B. The principal negatives were the noise (our suite overlooked the main road) and the very spasmodic Wi-Fi. At this price point it was disappointing.'

'Hotel was een beetje lastig te vinden. De app van hotels.com gaf een iets andere positie aan dan de werkelijkheid bleek te zijn. Entree is smal en er was niemand aanwezig / bereikbaar. Pas na nog eens bellen bleek dat de receptionist in het restaurant bezig was met een waterlekkage. Kamer was zeer ruim en zeer goed voorzien. Prima bed en douchegelegenheid. Gang en trappen smal. Eten in restaurant was goed, maar niet echt bijzonder. in restaurant stonden diverse emmers vanwege de lekkage. Kortom...

'Really lovely staff, great food, comfy beds with a great sea view'

'Its an old thatched pub and the room shape and conditions reflect that - sloping floors and wonky walls but the bedding , towels etc were clean and fresh. Rooms are above the bar so not quiet until the pub closes. Pub downstairs is friendly and has a good atmosphere with plenty of choice behind the bar. They serve food but I didn't try any so can't comment on that. Reasonably large attached car park although theres no covered area or anything to chain a motorcycle to.'

'Prima herberg en pub met een redelijke keuken. Het leek op de website wel idyllischer dan in werkelijkheid. De Inn ligt aan aan doorgaande weg en je kunt er niet te voet bij vandaan. Dus vanuit de Inn een stukje wandelen was niet mogelijk. Wat echter belangrijk voor ons was was dat er in de Inn geen enkele kamer was waar een bed beschikbaar was dat langer was dan 1,90m. Ik ben bijna 2 m lang en ben dus te lang voor deze bedden. De breedte van slechts 1,40m is voor jonge, niet al te grote mensen...

'The sash window was held up with two bits of wood when we entered the room, although cold outside, once closed we knew the reason why, the room had the most horrendous smell even worse in the bathroom. I had to buy 2 air fresheners, but they didn’t help. Furniture stained, crockery chipped and no spoon for making tea/coffee. No breakfast as the kitchen is closed. Positives - towels, when we got them were clean and the bedding was fresh otherwise we wouldn’t have stayed. Thank goodness for only...
