'Family of four (with 8yo twins) stayed here in November 2025. It's a beautiful inn, comfortable and clean and quiet, with friendly staff and good food for breakfast and dinner. The bath is lovely -- staff help you book a time in the evening at check in, and it's available on a first come first served basis in the morning. Free shuttles up to Gora in the morning are also a bonus (although you'll have to get yourself to Asante in the afternoon/evening as they don't offer shuttles then). Overall a...

'Excellent stay! I stayed here many times when the property was Emblem Flow before changing names. Nothing has really changed. Great staff - very friendly and welcoming. Nice restaurant and bar with a wonderful breakfast. Also appreciated the small onsen area. I highly recommend if you're looking for an affordable stay in Gora.'

'We stayed here for just one night, and it was a lovely experience. The location is perfect — only a short, easy walk from Kawaguchiko Station. Check-in was smooth and simple, and the host was very thoughtful. There are also many cultural touches and experiences you can enjoy inside the house, which made the stay feel special. 'I stayed at 5 different accommodations during my visit to Japan, and Ryokan Plum was by far my favourite - it was a shame that I could only stay for one night! I stayed in the traditional tatami room, which exceeded all of my expectations. It was beautiful! The host (I forget her name) who greeted me upon my arrival was very kind and welcoming. I would highly recommend Ryokan Plum to anyone visiting the Hakone/Odawara area. '

'The guesthouse is clean and comfortable. The location is convenient, about 10 min from the train station. There are no supermarkets or shops in the area. It is self check-in, I wasn't notified about beforehand, so it was a bit of a stressfull welcome as I didn't know how to enter the room.'
