I have to say - I am severely disappointed with the management at this property. When we checked in - Shanice (sorry if spelled incorrectly) was WONDERFUL. We came in early as we drove 6 hours from NJ and she let us check in early and explained the fee of early check in which we had to problem paying. She is a wonderful employee and her service shows it. We were due to check out on Monday the 25th but unfortunately our son ended up in the hospital and we had to leave the 24th. Check out is at 11am and we informed the front desk at 9:30am that we would be leaving. The lady told us that we would not get a refund since we had to tell them by 4pm the night before that we were leaving. I explained that unfortunately we had no idea of knowing that overnight our son in NJ would be sick. We still packed up and headed out. When leaving - I asked the lady if she had the policy written anywhere that she could print for me - she said she couldn’t print it but it was in her system. I contacted Expedia and they approved a refund for us but needed the hotel approval - the hotel denied the refund again. I understand policies but we left before check out so I KNOW they had a chance to clean and resell the room. I am disappointed to know that they have no heart when it comes to unforeseen circumstances. We have a wedding that we are planning in Maine and we were going to reserve a block of rooms here solely based on our experience with Shanice but unfortunately will be going elsewhere.
