« The reviews we read had us worried, but our experience was wonderful. We had a beautiful room right at the water’s edge and enjoyed swimming in the pool. Although the washing machines could use some updating, we were able to wash everything we needed on-site. « We had a wonderful stay at the Deer Harbor Inn lodge and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting Orcas Island. The rooms were comfortable, clean and cozy! Perfect after a jam-packed day of hosting activities for our friends, from Deer Harbor marina to Eastsound, and ending with the best brisket ever at Matthews Smokehouse just across from the lodge. « The hotel is a collection of modular buildings, like trailers. The walls are paper thin and we could hear the TV from the room next door in our room. The bedding was good and clean. The bathroom is old but clean. The carpets need cleaning and they need blackout curtains. The blinds are ridiculous. The glare from the sun was so bright on the TV, we couldn’t even see the screen. The manager is gruff and unfriendly. »

« Our room was extremely clean and quiet. There was a fan but no air conditioning. We did not need it. There was no elevator which was a problem for us but, we made it. I would like to stay there again if I could be on first floor. »
