'My week vacation at Bay Cottage was wonderful and relaxing. Ed was a great host, giving me so much helpful information about the room, property and Port Townsend. I was welcomed with fresh cut flowers and a plate of fresh berries with homemade chocolate chip walnut cookies. Enjoyed the cottage’s nice private deck to sit on as well as the community patio overlooking the beach and water. Many, many thanks!'

'After staying in this cozy, beautiful place on our way up to BC, we decided to stay again on our way home. It was definitely the right choice! The hosts made everything so special for us and for our dog, and they saw us off in the morning with sweet tummy scratches for her! We loved seeing the deer and geese on our evening walk, and it was so nice and peaceful in the neighborhood. Wholeheartedly recommend!'

'I always rely on reviews to choose my stays, so I always want to be helpful to others. This property was very nice and secluded. It has two lower units and one upper unit. Two of the units (Lodge and Meadow) have a view of the water and very nice decks. The property has a nice hot tub and fire pit. Unfortunately, we were in the Forest unit. While it was lovely, we had no views or windows except for the fenced in tiny deck. The room was lovely, but dark and claustrophobic. If you want a romantic...

'Loved the property, the beautiful hiking trails, the mountain views and that we could hear the waves at night. The accommodations were a bit more rundown than expected (new mattresses would help), but overall it was cozy and had the added benefit, for us, of being within walking distance of family.'

'The hotel is a traditional hotel and in someway a bit outdated. But just because of this, it has its charm. The location in Fort Townsend is awesome and the staff is friendly. The beds are good. We had a bathroom with a old-school bath. I can imagine that this for older people is a bit difficult to use as the shower because of the high step-in.'

'With all my boys hitting 18 or older, it’s been harder to find something exciting and new to do for all their birthdays that fall within two weeks of each other. We have always loved visiting Sequim and the animal game farm. I was happily surprised to learn of this festive and unique castle that was full of all the fun amenities like costumes, decor, medieval type dishes, furniture, etc. It was really fun. My only regret is not staying longer.'

My only VERY minor complaint is that when you order the breakfast-to-go that it was very simple and things I had actually already brought with us, unfortunately.
