« We had a lovely stay at Lockton Cottage, it was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The welcome goodies were a great touch, and we really appreciated the tea, milk etc..after our long journey. We would definitely stay again. »

« The cottage was an authentic Yorkshire experience. It was quaint, clean and comfortable. In the middle of Hawes with easy access to public parking. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend. May not suit people who have difficulty with stairs. »

« Excellente adresse, cottage bien équipé, salle de bains spacieuse. Cottage tres cosy pour les jours de pluie et jardin et son salon agreable poir dejeuner, prendre le soleil, pause tea time. Phil, le proprietaire, très disponible, nous a communiqué toutes les infos nécessaires. Un pub est situé à 5 minutes à pied. Commerces situes à leyburn, à 15 km. Emplacement permettant de rayonner dans le parc national yorkshire dales. Adresse à retenir »

« Overall the property was as described, but without being too negativen the main faults we found were as follows...Internet may as well not have been there, Spider webs in lots of locations, metal Beds contributed to lack of sleep, Foisty smell in bedrooms, especially the groung floor one, hence maybe the fly killer spray that overpowered you on entry, The plus sides were,,,,, Alpacas were a bonus, as were the free Milk and Eggs, we loved the rural setting and the quiet location. Would we stay...

« Lovely old house near the harbour with all you need for a comfortable stay. Bonus free parking space, under cover, close by in the next street. »

« When we arrived it was clear the cottage had not been cleaned. The previous occupants' dirty sheets and towels were piled up and there were no clean sheets or pillowcases for the bed. The kitchen was dirty and there was damp and peeling wallpaper. It was not possible to contact the owner straight away and after a couple of hours we were told the owner could not send a cleaner until the following day. Since there was nowhere clean to sleep we left and went home »

« This is a perfect place to rest and be away from people and noise. The view is beautiful, the hot tub is enjoyable, it is warm in the cottage and the kitchen is very well equipped. »

« Location was good in the centre with main shops, tourist places nearby. Kitchen although dated, well equipped and a good table to sit round.Lounge comfy and good seating.Shower fine but cubicle tiny ..inadequate .. being the only bathroom. Misnamed a fisherman's cottage -- in a back lane in town centre -- no views. Very difficult to access by car.Lane too narrow for our car to turn into .Had to send I person ahead on foot to get parking card.Main bedrooms up one flight of stairs from the ...

« What a lovely way to spend a few days around Filey! The grounds were perfect as we were a couple of minutes walk from the pub, pool and entertainment area. I couldn't find the passes for the swimming pool, and the owner replied to my message within about an hour, and was really helpful. There's a pretty little bowles area outside the back door, with a lovely seating area. The apartment itself is brilliant, TV with everything you need, really clean and comfortable beds, aswell as a very well...
