Herbergen in Newton Abbot

'Prima herberg en pub met een redelijke keuken. Het leek op de website wel idyllischer dan in werkelijkheid. De Inn ligt aan aan doorgaande weg en je kunt er niet te voet bij vandaan. Dus vanuit de Inn een stukje wandelen was niet mogelijk. Wat echter belangrijk voor ons was was dat er in de Inn geen enkele kamer was waar een bed beschikbaar was dat langer was dan 1,90m. Ik ben bijna 2 m lang en ben dus te lang voor deze bedden. De breedte van slechts 1,40m is voor jonge, niet al te grote mensen...

'Fantastic location overlooking the hilltop sea views. Last minute overnight booking, with only the rear looking room available (would like to try the sea view rooms next time). Room was immaculately clean with a fan, iron (and board), hairdryer, microwave, toaster, fridge and kettle (also tea, coffee and milk, that you can have refilled if you need more). Staff were absolutely fantastic from the time we checked in to when we left. Bar and food area downstairs (also plenty of outdoor seating). I...

'Where do you start. Car park is a Pay and Display between the hours 9am-6pm. No food available not even breakfast. Room was old and tiered. Bathroom stank and not clean, there was a floater in the loo, not nice to see when you walk in. Music from the bar went on until closing time so good luck trying to get any sleep until then. When you go to leave the next day you cant get out of the door you came in you have to use the fire escape, The only redeeming factor was the bar staff, she was pleasant...

'Hotel was een beetje lastig te vinden. De app van hotels.com gaf een iets andere positie aan dan de werkelijkheid bleek te zijn. Entree is smal en er was niemand aanwezig / bereikbaar. Pas na nog eens bellen bleek dat de receptionist in het restaurant bezig was met een waterlekkage. Kamer was zeer ruim en zeer goed voorzien. Prima bed en douchegelegenheid. Gang en trappen smal. Eten in restaurant was goed, maar niet echt bijzonder. in restaurant stonden diverse emmers vanwege de lekkage. Kortom...

'We were only there one night and didn’t eat there in the evening but breakfast was excellent. Room was spacious with excellent open plan bathroom facilities. Pleasant walk into Sidmouth ( approx 3.5 ) miles round trip Ticked all the boxes for what we needed. Would stay again'
