'If you are a backcountry camper, this is for you! The hut is situated in primitive setting of rain forest. You can imagine a big tent but in wood sitting in the woods. I like the nature surrounding and the art deco. However, lack of electricity and a modern bathroom is a big downside. The host is friendly, responsive, and helpful. However, descriptions of the property and instructions to the property aren't sufficiently clear.'

'Every detail has been thought of! The room was beautiful, spacious, comfortable, and had everything you could need!! You really feel like you have your own private jungle bungalow. Slept like a rock in the comfy bed and the rain on the roof! Eric and Chris were SO great, wish we had more time to chat with them. next time :) It's super close to the park. 'We stayed here at Beach Road Hale for my brothers wedding and it was the perfect spot for myself and three others. We weren’t in the house much, we would leave early in the morning and come back late at night and we couldn’t have found a better place. 'Impossible to beat the proximity to Volcanos NP. The price point is fantastic relative to similar properties. The rooms were clean and well stocked with anything you might need. Welcome treat was a great touch. The property itself was cool and definitely decorated in a unique, cool manner. But what made this place excellent were the hosts, Joy and John, who clearly want your stay to be great. And ours was.'

'Quiet and breezy. There is a/c but we didn't need to run it and could hear the birds chirping most of the day. Plenty of room for two people with a standard sized refrigerator, king bed, good storage for clothes, etc. We stayed here a few years ago when it first became a rental, and the years and guests haven't been kind to the property. 'We had a fabulous stay and absolutely loved the cabin's lanais, all the natural light, the kitchen, propane fireplace, open concept, and wood features. The cabin was easy to get to and the access road is well maintained. We enjoyed cooking dinners every night and even enjoyed some cocktails out on the lanai using the stemware provided. We would stay here again in a heartbeat!'

'Hands-down the best place we stayed during our 2.5 week trip to Hawaii! Barry and Jim were wonderful hosts, we were greeted by Barry as soon as we arrived! He helped get us settled in and showed us around the cabin. The cabin comes stocked with breakfast items, coffee, and fresh fruits! 'The location of Jade Oasis is perfect for the Park! It is close enough that you can split your day and have a morning and evening visit. The room was super clean and the bed was great. The homemade muffins were a nice touch. I would come back!'
