'A lovely place to stay, spotlessly clean and great service. Great food in the bar and all very reasonably priced. Becky in housekeeping provided excellent service in the rooms. It was an ideal place to stay with easy access to Hay and to the cafe in the airstrip. We will return if we go back that way again.'

'Lovely quirky old hotel but bathroom layout poor, could do with removing bath and putting a shower only, it would be much safer. Reception lady at 2pm was very abrupt and just said “check in not till 3” we only wanted to let her know we had parked in the patrons only car park. Breakfast staff and checking out lady, lovely.'

'Very central, comfortable accommodation, bedroom is a mini-apartment with fridge and microwave, milk and range of chocolate biscuits left for you (homely touch), nice hot shower (in bath, not separate). No parking on the premises but pay-car-parks and free street parking close by. Attached to a more than decent pub/restaurant. Only mini drawback: the kitchen extractor fan was a little loud when we went to bed, but didn't last long.'

'Op zich een leuke pub, goed eten na wat advies en DAT was niet duur. GEEN parkeerplek, daarvoor moet je 10 minuten lopen EN betalen. Lastig als je in de morgen voor 8 uur moet gaan betalen want het ontbijt begint pas om 8 uur, best laat als je een lange reis voor de boeg hebt. Behoorlijke schimmel plekken in de de kitranden van het bad, super weinig waterdruk, ouderwetse wastafel, zonder planchet en weinig ruimte voor tandenborstel etc. Bed zou nieuw moeten zijn, 6 mnd geleden nieuwe matrassen...

'Lovely place, rooms and public spaces immaculate. Dinner and breakfast were great. The only thing that was a bit disappointing was the view from our room, we were looking out onto the kitchen roof, complete with ventilation ducts, didn’t spoil out stay but some screening would have been nice. We had a nice stay and the staff were lovely.'

'Had a one night stop over stay here, the accommodation was spotless and the bed was super comfy. Spent the evening in the pub, which is beautifully decorated, warm and inviting. We didn't have a meal but did order a cheesecake which was absolutely delicious. All the staff were friendly, warm and inviting and went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Breakfast was included and very delicious. Thank you '

'We were walking the Shropshire Way and the White Horse was a nice place to fall into at the end of a long day's walk. The food was wholesome and the bedroom was quiet and comfortable. The bar area was popular with locals celebrating a football match win and this lasted until around 10:00 pm when it all subsided into a gentle placidity. The breakfast in particular was delicious.'
