'Mooie en ruime kamers. Maar het hotel was extreem druk met wachttijden bij het diner in buffetvorm. Het Kaseiki diner was redelijk, maar niet fantastisch. De omgeving is mooi, maar alles is gericht op massatoerisme. Geen 5 sterren hotel, meer 3 sterren. Dan dus een hoge prijs voor het gebodene. De service is -zoals overal in Japan- wel 5 sterren.'

'Absolutely beautiful and well worth the money to splurge on! We took advantage of a lot of what the hotel had to offer (for example, massages, facials, hotel restaurant, and even the nearby outlets). They do come at an extra reasonable price! Hotel is also beautiful and had a great view of MT Fuji, we were lucky to see it on a day it was clear during the morning hours. 'Beautiful, the in room onsen was amazing and the room was awesome. Great staff. Great location. Wish I could stay for longer- perfect to break up the hustle and bustle of the big cities. Make sure you arrive early- all of the attractions close around 5 pm, which I didn’t realize, but the staff stored my luggage while I went to explore on check out day. The only thing that wasn’t amazing was dinner, but I didn’t go for one of the higher priced wagyu steaks. Otherwise , a perfect stay.'

'Sadly this hotel really isn’t suitable for Europeans or Americans. We were served with little warmth or hospitality upon arrival and not custom to our taste of breakfast or lifestyle. Everything shuts in the town centre at 5pm and dinner and bar ends 8pm here so it was a very lonely experience. Room was tired, dirty and small gestures such as no coffee offered at 9.35 (5 minutes after breakfast ended!) little things like this made a disappointing visit. 'This was hands down the best hotel I have ever stayed in. Room was super stylish and clean with a massive shower. The onsen was such a highlight. I would recommend anyone staying in Hakone to stay here. We will be definitely be coming back.'
