'I stayed in one of the dorm studio rooms, and it was fantastic! The room was spacious and quiet and clean. It had an efficient air conditioner which worked well and didn't smell of mildew. They had a shared laundry amenity which I didn't end up needing, but was good to have available since everything is so humid in Hilo, damp clothes won't dry on their own. I used the hot plate in the room to reheat some leftovers, which saved me some time and money on going to a restaurant. I would recommend...

'What a magical place! The staff was so helpful, ensuring we had everything we need due to the upcoming storm. They even texted us when the volcano was fountaining so we could rush to view it! The kids loved waking up to the sights and sounds of a rainforest. Beautiful location.'

'I had no hot water for my 3 night stay. Cold water only. The owner said to check the circuit breaker. I did. That didn’t solve anything.I was really looking forward to a nice outdoor hot tub after hiking all day in the rain. The switch to turn on the hot tub jets wasn’t working. The owner said a previous renter broke the switch so I had no jets. The water was warm but tub was dirty.The light on kitchen counter was broken so there was no light to prepare anything to eat.'

'Two of the towels were not cleaned and still hanging behind the bathroom door. Some of the towels had stains on them. The property was ok but not super clean. It was just for one night so we were fine with it otherwise would not recommend staying in it for multiple days. The sofa bed was quite old. Definitely not worth $200+ per night.'
