'Great amenities (washing machine & dryer in the bathroom awesome) & to be so close to Fushimi Inari. It is quite a long way from other sights in Kyoto though but close to a local train station so fine if you’re happy to take transport to get around. Beds great & nice feather pillows. Very clean & tidy but be aware there is no front desk so it’s best to do the check-in prior to arriving. We had an issue with an alarm going off at one point and the staff I rang were very helpful though. There are...

'Incredibly convenient with the hotel being a short 7 minute walk from kyoto station allowed me to shop and easily return to hotel and head out again. Bus stop to Kiyomizu was also close by. Staff were always super friendly and helpful, and they also speak good English. Would definitely consider staying here next time. '

'Kumano house is cozy, clean and organized, and I loved all of the information provided for places to eat and visit. I was caught off guard with the rooms being on the 2nd floor and the steep stairs was burdensome with elderly family members in our party. We made it work and we enjoyed living in a typical home in Japan. Uber transportation were hesitant in traveling down the lane to the house but we also made that work. My group really enjoyed our time here at Kumano House. '

'The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, the facilities were very clean and a nice, artistic setting throughout the hotel. Breakfast was incredible and more than adequate each day, with the common areas being comfortable and inviting. Laundry facilities were small but adequate for the size of the hotel. I would highly recommend staying here if in the area, with a quiet location and proximity to everything you would need. '

'For Japan standard this is a great place. The space is enormous and in very clean and great condition. The hot tube is amazing! But here are con's: - place is not worth for 2 people due the high price. Nice for family with kids or 2 couples. - I was actually missing a coffee machine, specially due the price range Overall nice place with tremendous space but I will book a regular hotel for the half of the price. By the way, the staff is great, helpfull and super kind ! Arigato :)'
