This is a resort. So one should expect decent quality service. While the staff was friendly, they seem to be restricted to make any sort of accommodations. I booked this hotel for my wife’s birthday, we arrived early around 2pm and was told there was no chance for an early check in but that they could hold our bags. 4 o’clock rolls around - we check in, we have dinner plans - well we missed those because after an hour of waiting for our bags to be delivered we went down to see what was going on - no one could find our bags - now I understand things happen, that part I’m okay with. My problem was with how it was handled, the bellhops simply made excuses and said they didn’t know they didn’t take them - the manager was accusatory and basically said I must have done something to lose them but that he would check security and walked away? Finally after speaking with 4 staff members, I found a nice front desk lady who was at least WILLING to assist in a solution, she brought me to 3 different rooms in the back where the bag may be and ended up finding them (the ballroom?). 1/5 staff members exercising hospitality. Simply frustrating to deal with for what’s supposed to be a “luxury” hotel. Aside from that - I was told we could get a high floor room after calling ahead of time and informing them of my wife’s birthday - well we were put on the second floor, alright nbd. Still a vibe. The rooms are nice, the Marble was stunning, but the tub did not drain… not um sanitary or luxurious
