'Pros- great location , easy parking , pool , folks are fairly updated , coffee maker , hairdryer , bath products provided, bed was comfy , lots of pillows. Cons- You can hear everything from the room above you, even someone zipping a zipper. Ask for an upstairs room. No info provided on hours of bar , people at the front desk , etc. shower doesn't have a curtain , just a clear liner , so hopefully nobody needs to use the toilet if someone is in the shower . Our room had live spiders and hair...

'Big parking lot with easy access to hotel and back out.. Incredible service and staff. Lounge, amenities and everything that a Hampton Inn provides always brings it to the top! Clean rooms, easy access TV, and comfortable sheets with a plush bed. Overall excellent experience and I’ll be back for sure!'

'Nice place, shabby sheek very clean, big screen TV. Big windows you can open, no central air but room has a ceiling fan and small rolling air conditioner. There is also a super cute retro fridge/freezer stocked with cold drinks and a small microwave. Beware there is no 24 hour attendant on site. We locked ourselves out and waited 15 minutes for someone to come back to the premises to let us back in. Also, no hot water for showers; otherwise, nice accommodations.'

'The hottub was really the sweet spot, cabin was nice overall, the a/c and airflow sucked, had difficulty sleeping due to lack of airflow and it being hot, big bear is a little packed and overrated, not much to do. Good if you want a weekend getaway, not much else.'

'Fabulous 3 night- 2 day stay. We arrived later than expected and found our key waiting for us. The cabin was so cute, clean, and well-appointed. Cool air at night through the screened windows and fan, and a quiet clientele respectful of the quiet hours. Charming center fireplace and table with candles in common area set such a lovely , restful atmosphere. We enjoyed the pool, free bikes, and free canoes. I read and rested in a Adirondack chair for hours uninterrupted and watched the ducks...

'There is no one in the office to check us in. The wifi doesn't work. I contacted staff and they texted back "I will check now". The next day I asked back and no response. The original text asked us to take trash out to the dumpster next to the house, but there isn't a dumpster. The hot tub and pool are both empty and dry. There are lots of ants and spiders in the rooms.'

'GOOD: 1st, location is in the Village / 2nd, the lobby is quite impressive and pleasing / 3rd, the restaurant attached is pretty good / 4th, the room was very nice, with a little balcony. BAD: 1st, we have stayed in many places in Big Bear and most do not have air conditioning BUT all of them list that on their websites; not Holiday Inn, and being international and most of us that have visited one, they are air conditioned, so the assumption is this one is too. When we checked in, we were told...

'Well the beds were made. That’s about it really, rooms had cobwebs in the windows, floor wasn’t swept well and it looked like it had recent construction done and it was never finished. Guy up front was not good at customer service. He was fast though which I gotta say is better than a friendly conversation. All and all it was just a poor choice.'
