We arrived 15 minutes until check in time and the manager said we can check in with a $30 check in fee (which was on that’s their policy no problem). We decided to just wait the 15 minutes then check in. When we got to our room the small of gas was strong. My head started to hurt and my child that had asthma wasn’t feeling well. We tried to air out the room which didn’t work. My husband alerted the front desk she stated “it’s fine we just had the gas guy come.” No accommodation at all just “it’s fine.” We waited to see if the smell would go away it didn’t. We walked to the counter to alert the front desk that was also the manager about the gas smell. She was visibly upset about this. She rolls her eyes at my husband, snatched the keys from him and had a condescending tone. She said it’s fine but she will move us rooms and brought up that my husband didn’t want to pay the early check in fee. I’m not sure why that mattered!!! I didn’t feel comfortable staying there. 1- Her lack of safety concerns for the building 2- lack of concern for her customers and safety 3- She was the rudest hotel worker I have ever encountered in my life. We treated her with respect in conversation. I didn’t feel safe staying there. She bullied us and said she would not give us a refund, she stated Expedia would side with her and customers do not get refunds. I was shaken up with this whole experience, my children were very upset. She refused to give us a receipt. Please do not do business here!
