'Great location with plenty of parking. The room was a nice size, out the back away from the road and quiet. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and they let me have a takeaway box for breakfast because of my early start.'

'My partner and me stayed during the first horrible heatwave in June, to get some respite in the AC that was featured in the amenities of the property. Not only was there AC in the room, but also in the pub/restaurant area! It was absolutely delightful - we struggled leaving! The staff were so friendly and attentive; nothing was too much trouble. We were given a flask of fresh milk to have with tea/coffee in the room, and some freshly baked cookies. I couldn’t get the shower to cool down, this...

'This is the second time I have stayed due to the convenient location for work. I’ve had the warmest arrival on both occasions. The room was lovely. The bed extremely comfy. And the little touches such as fresh milk and brownies are a bonus treat. Exceptional.'

'We loved this property and area as a whole and to be in Sherborne was fantastic anyway, and so close to the Abbey was beautiful in itself. The in-house staff were brilliant and very helpful too with anything we needed, but I’m afraid the general up keep of the building and facilities in Room 1 (family size) were poor in places like broken fixtures and fittings etc, like the cracked toilet seat lid, the broken (and not working) shaving light and shaver power socket on the mirror in the bathroom...

'Authentiek hotel/herberg met een goed restaurant. Ruime kamer met goed bed en heerlijke douche. Een nadeel het was best warm op de kamer terwijl het buiten zo’n 10 graden was. Daarbij helpt het niet dat sommige verwarmingselementen aanstonden in het hotel. Wij hebben de airco aangezet maar die maakte nogal wat herrie. '
