'Interesting location, on the former air base of McClellan. Area is well maintained and looks beautiful with the flowers. Room was ok, cleanliness could be better and the facilities are outdated. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast was disappointing, scrambled eggs were disgusting, and the rest was very basic.'

'The Harbinson House was a great place to stay for going to a show at Ace of Spades. It is in a beautiful historic neighborhood and the place itself is a quirky historic home. I was able to walk back and forth from the venue while looking at the amazing architecture of the houses. My room had an Alice In Wonderland theme with a functioning Victorola which was really cool. 'Nice clean hotel. Quiet, because it is just far enough away from the freeway and has double paned windows. Room is laid out nicely and couch is clean so you can sit on it and relax. I also appreciate that they have medium size tumbler glasses which are nice to have your beer in. Price was very reasonable, and $10 a day parking was cheaper than the $15 a day the Marriott across the street charged.'

'We only stayed for one night to go to the state fair but it was quite comfortable. My only disappointment was that there was no microwave in the room. The amenities listed on the details for our room said refrigerator and microwave but there was no microwave. Everything else was great. Beds were comfortable and room was super clean. Breakfast was good. I would definitely stay again.'

'I have been to this hotel many times and always enjoyed it. This time however it looked rundown. Everything needs to be redone. One elevator was out. There seemed to be no one outside to help with bags. The rooms are depressing. It made me sad. I will say the bed was comfortable. The people that work there are very nice. They like the customers deserve an upgrade.'

In the lobby was another man who appeared to be homeless with a very large aggressive looking dog arguing with the front desk person.
