'This property was a dream stay for us! We stayed for a month and it was very hard to leave. Upon arrival I had the pleasure of meeting Paolo and Mara. They were the sweetest…accommodating and welcoming! They had milk, water, snacks and even a bottle of wine waiting for us! VERY much appreciated after a long day of travel. They left great restaurant & activity recommendations that we took advantage of during our visit.The location is amazing: the flat is located in the heart of beautiful Varenna!...

'The property was very nice and the check in process was easy. It would be good to have a car because Uber and car share services do not work in Varenna. The taxi service is a little sporadic and expensive. The train station is a long walk as is town. The view was great with plenty of space. I would rent here again but only if i had a car'

'Loved it and can’t wait to return! The view is gorgeous—amazing sunsets and, in the morning, Varenna is lit up by the sun. The patio is also right next to an old waterfall/fountain ruin type of thing that is lit up at night and it’s stunning. The inside of the apartment is also fantastic and we loved the very large bathtub and the rain shower heads. A few things to know—it IS the penthouse so there are quite a bit of outside stairs to get to the apartment. It wasn’t really a problem for us but...

'Appartement agreable avec une vue extraordinaire sur le lac depuis l'immense terrasse (d'autant plus grande que le second appartement n'était pas loué). Environnement hyper calme. Randonnées possibles au départ de la maison. Le lit de la chambre double n'est pas confortable (2 lits collés avec des matelas de hauteurs différentes). Un peu de nettoyage des terrasses serait bienvenu (feuilles et branches mortes, un sac poubelle traine à l'entrée de l'escalier ). Il serait bien d'avoir un peu plus...
