'Staff were excellent. Food very good. Appreciated group of 10 having separate area for meals. Not keen on the bath in the bedroom, nowhere reachable to put soap or shampoo. No washbasin in the toilet. Would be better to make shower room with toilet. Bath not easy to get in and out.'

'The room was spacious and attractive. The hotel overall is very well cared for and the staff seem to be very happy to work there - they are extremely helpful and friendly. The highlight of our stay was the truly delicious dinner we enjoyed - a very memorable, high-quality meal. The heating in our room was domestic style radiators and it was tricky to get the room temperature right, this was a minor detail.'

'It's on a round-a-bout which means that you have to look for the carpark. There is one & it is close by. We didn't stay in the hotel but in the Coachhouse. Breakfast was very good, staff are friendly. Has all the facilities but it's greatest plus point is where it is. Although I can imagine that some rooms could be quite noisy. '

'Average stay, tv not receiving signal, boiler broke down, although owner came out to fix within a few hours. Very poor welcome pack (small bottle of milk). No logs or kindling for log burner. View from back of cottage spoilt by messy and junk strewn garden. Nice location with good pubs in village that did good food, just check what days they open.'

'Lovely, cosy pub hotel. Great food with a choice of menus, ranging from the tasting menu to simple (but very well done) pub fayre. We chose from the pub menu, special mention to the fish and chips, perfect! Accompanied by a good choice of drinks, with beer from the local Thornbridge brewery. Very handy spot for local attractions. We stayed for one night on a mini-break and the room was perfect. Lovely bedroom decoration, nicely fitted out bathroom with a decent sized bath and rainfall...
