Sweet Victorian Beach Cottage

Right in Historic Cape Charles!!! Just a minute walk to the Marina and a few minute walk to the beach, this Victorian beach house has all the modern comforts downstairs, with a huge modern kitchen, spacious living room with gas fireplace and brand new half bath, coupled with the sweet charm of a chic cottage upstairs with three bedrooms and a full bath.

Outside it has a large fenced yard with a big back patio for BBQing and hanging out. It has a private outdoor shower with a full closed in changing area and a shed packed with beach cruiser bicycles, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, lawn games such as corn hole....everything you could need for a family fun packed getaway.

All attractions are just a walk, bike or golf cart ride away! We have a 5 passenger golf cart with utility cart available for separate rental fee and must be pre-arranged.

The house has a good size master with a Queen size bed (sleeps 2) as well as a family suite that has one room with a full size bed (sleeps 2) and another with bunk beds (sleeps 2).

Our property has a washer/dryer combo unit great for small loads and we provide all the fresh linens and towels you could need!

Overall stay was enjoyable, house was clean and accommodating. Check in and out were easy, host was communicative. House is an older home that had been partially renovated, the upstairs is cooled by window AC units as well it is not a true 3 bedroom. Upstairs bathroom is okay, not the best for bathing children, needs updating. The appliances are all in need of upgrading, the washer/dryer unit was not functioning which was a huge inconvenience for us, as we specifically only rent where we can do laundry, as well the dishwasher broke mid way through our stay.

Perfect set up

We had a great stay. Owner was very easy to reach, although we had everything we needed it was nice knowing she was responsive if something arouse. The setup of the house was perfect for our group and was as expected from the listing. Would absolutely book again. The option to add on the golf cart was amazing. The house was clean and spacious. Enjoyed our after Labor Day stay

Cape Charles is a beautiful town on the bay and did not disappoint with the a clean beach and small town atmosphere. Plenty of great places to eat and try some local craft brews. The house was nice with the updated kitchen being the highlight of the property. We enjoyed our walks to the beach and around town, being the active people we are, but it is just short of a mile to the beach from this location. If you are not up for that, no problem, just consider adding the golf cart rental from the property owner.

Lenore’s place was perfect for a weekend getaway with my mom! The house was as described/pictured and met all our needs. Beds were comfy and the neighborhood was very quiet, so very restful after spending our days exploring all Cape Charles has to offer. Great weather, beach, bakeries, parks, wine tastings, restaurants, sunsets, and ice cream! Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend. Thank you!

Thank you for a wonderful stay! Home had everything we needed, plenty of space for our family to hang out and play games during rainy days, the entire home was well-stocked with toiletries, towels and the like. Great Week Away

We really enjoyed our stay. The outdoor shower was a major bonus! The house was tidy, had ample towels and beach towels to borrow, washing machine, games, books, coffee, no clutter and Lenore was super responsive throughout our stay. We rented the golf cart for a couple days, which was fun and made traveling around town very convenient.

Lovely house in Cape Charles

Had a great stay at Lenore's place. Wonderful location that was convenient to the beach and the shops/dining in town. It was helpful to rent the golf cart to get ourselves and our one year old to the beach. If we didn't have a little one it would have been an easy walk. Lenore was very responsive and answered quickly when we struggled with the lock box. The house is historic and the upstairs is more rustic than downstairs, but suited our needs well. The bed was comfortable. Very nice yard with outdoor picnic table and patio. Would stay again!

Classic Cape Charles

This home is a wonderful example of a restored Cape Charles original. It has all the modern features you would want while capturing the feel of a small beach town property from another time. The home is well equipped and furnished, nicely located, and well maintained. The hosts are super responsive. We had a brief but very enjoyable say.
