I’ll preface this review by saying that our main trip goal was to relax and recharge. This was our 11th visit to Cancun and we have stayed at various resorts or hotels.
Positives: The facility is well maintained and the beach club is truly top notch. The food is good for an all inclusive resort (the Japanese restaurant was great). We purchased the vantage club and it was worth it, as you get access to the rooftop pool and it is much calmer and relaxing than the first floor pools, which are more of a party/spring break scene. They have a great coffee stand that is always accessible.
Negatives: Our sheets were dirty when we arrived. The walls are paper thin. We were placed on the first floor (which is actually the third floor, but first floor of guest rooms) with a bay view. When checking in, we asked if we could be assigned another room due to expected noise from the pool but the front desk agent noted that the hotel was full (we booked somewhat last minute via Expedia and clearly misunderstood options). While the pool noise from guests was not a problem for us, we were woken several mornings (around 2am) from drilling, vacuums, plates clanking, and other routine maintenance activities by the hotel. We called the front desk each time and they acted annoyed from the call and the noise continued. There is no spa but they offer massages and other basic treatments. The gym is a simple fitness facility, not comparable to those at other resorts in the area.
