'Be aware that if you plan to cruise or use the airport shuttle, do your research. The location is not close to the cruise port, so you will pay a lot in taxi fares. The airport shuttle only runs from 9 am to 5 pm. If you have a large group, they will not accommodate the whole group, plus you have to reserve in advance. We just left Puteoli Palace, we had a great stay, While the property is walkable to several restaurants, a grocery store and a few historical hidden gems, it is NOT close to the hustle n bustle of the city’s center. We had tours scheduled at various times, and the hotel’s driver accommodated us with no issues. The hotel is about a 15-20 minute drive to Naples Grand Central Station. The room was super clean! 'The room itself was nice. It was clean and updated. The hotel had a nice terrace. Unfortunately the hotel had a pretty frequent sewage smell that built during the night. The fume/sewage gas smell was strong if the windows were closed at all. The housekeeping women were very nice and helpful. The manager was nice, but didn’t give much help. He was unable to give directions/options for dining in the area. I would pick a different area of Italy to visit.'
