'This property is like staying in Colonial Williamsburg. It is very old. The floors creek, the pipes sing in the night and there is little to stop any noise coming from other rooms. Beware the nails sticking out of the ancient hardwood floors! This is not very accessible if you have walking issues. Lots of uneven pathways. The drive out there is scary at night! Do not take the fastest route to get there from the airport- take the straightest way. But the place is exceptionally quiet and peaceful....

'Hotel was close to the event we were supposed to to attend but got rained out. How ever, price seemed high compared to what was offered with the hotel. Bathroom was extremely small. Secured door did not lock from coming from the outside of the hotel. Breakfast was ok.'

'The staff was excellent--knowledgeable, very helpful, and friendly. The room was spacious and clean. The sink could have had more space for toiletries. Did not keep the breakfast items stocked the first day, but the second day was fine. On the whole I was very pleased with the whole experience.'

'We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. Maple Hill is a piece of living history and it was a privilege to stay there. The owners are excellent stewards of this absolute gem. Our room was huge and very comfortable. Every detail in the house is stunning. We took time to look at everything inside and outside so that we could absorb the beauty of the home and property. And the breakfast was BETTER than a restaurant! Getting dessert in the evening was such a lovely treat and a romantic...

'Beautiful historic property run by two artists who are great hosts. Conveniently located to many Bourbon Trail stops. The master’s suite with the whirlpool tub is incredible.'

'The first room we were given had some weird splatter on the ceiling, tv and floor. There was also a wasp in the room. We asked for a diff room this one was much cleaner but smelt like cat pee.'

'The property was perfect! It is such a cozy place for a weekend getaway. The host was amazing and communication was great. My husband’s band Watered Down Whiskey was in town for the weekend to play at a couple local bars. It was the perfect space to recharge and relax after the gigs. My only regret is that we couldn’t stay and enjoy the space longer. We will definitely stay there again when we are back in town.'

'Nice property. Beautiful view! Porches are great. Being a basement apartment made it difficult to rest due to host up doing construction or something quite early ior late 4 a.m. however you look at the situation. Hot tub was on the upstairs deck which wasn’t very private even though there were curtains on either end. The house windows were still available to be seen by anyone who chanced to look. There were many nice conveniences such as bath robes, candles, toiletries , coffee, frozen food...

'Bourbon Trail Oasis at Boone Farm was a great spot for our family’s getaway. We enjoyed the peaceful quiet located a short drive from area attractions. We visited distilleries, hiked around Mammoth Cave, and had a day trip into Louisville, but were able to come back to the VRBO and simply relax.'

'A more unique retreat in KY situated in the middle of nowhere along/near The Bourbon Trail will not be found. This hobbit/gnome themed outdoor resort is at first stunning and then you begin to realize all the work that must have gone into it and all the thought that went into the details/design. It advertised as a 2 bedroom, but there are actually 3 bedrooms! The heat worked well (it was cold). The snacks and coffee were greatly appreciated. The cottage was clean and spacious!
